We keep it simple. If the dog is listed on our Available Dogs page, it’s available to adopt. Once a dog is adopted or is close to pending adoption, we turn off the public view so you won’t see it. We may also turn off the public view if we are being inundated with applications for a specific dog and need time to look through them and talk to potential adopters.

Please note: Due to the timing of the way some websites update, once we flip a dog to adopted it can take from 45 minutes to overnight for the pet lists on multiple sites to update. That is beyond our control, as it’s dependent on when each site receives and implements its update from our main database system. But our website updates almost immediately.
